The Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) is a username and password that students and parents will use to access and electronically sign the FAFSA. It’s also used to access other U.S. Department of Education (ED) online systems as well as view a student’s financial aid history. Students and parents will use the same FSA ID every year the FAFSA is completed. The FSA ID Worksheet (also in Spanish) guides students and parents through the FSA ID creation process and provides space to save login credentials.

The Finish the FAFSA in Five Steps / FAFSA Facts (also in Spanish) flyer breaks the FAFSA completion process down into five easy steps and includes information about the materials needed to fill out the application. FAFSA Facts offers answers to some of the most frequently asked questions to assist families as they navigate FAFSA completion. It also provides information about additional financial aid resources, financial literacy, and more.

The FAFSA Fundamentals PowerPoint is an excellent introduction to the FAFSA and offers detailed information to guide you through an overview of completing the application.
The Items Needed to Complete a FAFSA flyer offers parents and students a clear idea of how to better prepare to fill out the FAFSA, as well as the documentation they’ll need to do so.
The Student Aid Index (SAI) is a number that colleges use to determine how much financial aid a student may be eligible to receive at their school. The Student Aid Index (SAI) PowerPoint will guide you through the ins and outs of the new SAI and how it’s calculated.
