Happy Holidays!
Dear Friends
As we approach the end of 2021, I want to first wish everyone the happiest of seasons and that you and your families spend the holidays in joyfulness, rest, and good health.
I am sure 2021 had been yet another very special year for everyone. Personally, for me, it took a lot of perseverance, determination, and hope to brave through all the different challenges that came my way. Professionally, I had to find new ways of communicating and working with others, and sometimes becoming acquainted with and developing working relationships with team members that I have never met in person. At home, I constantly worried about the health and safety of my family, and also the social development of my daughter who was born shortly before the pandemic began. I can only imagine that each of you has also had to face challenges that were similar to my own, as well as those that were very different. But what’s most important is that you have made it through the year with strength and that the holidays are just around the corner.
As we go into our winter break, I want you to know that the TDSB has made preparations to ensure our kids continue to learn in a safe environment in the second half of this school year. Pandemic safety measures will continue to be in place, elementary parents will be able to change their children’s learning mode (virtual/in-person) until January 7th, and secondary students will return to a much more normalized timetable scheduling for the second semester. If you have any thoughts, questions, or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me at any time. I will always be here to support you.
Last but definitely not least, please keep smiling, please stay safe, and let’s look forward to 2022 together.
James
