New Online Championship Opportunity
|
We are excited to announce the inaugural Digital Speech & Debate e-Championship! This is a collaborative venture between the Tournament of Champions and the National Speech & Debate Association to provide an accessible, cost-effective online championship opportunity for your students in grades 6-12.

The online tournament will be held May 6-8, 2023, and is presented by the TOC and NSDA with support from the NAUDL, NCFL, NIETOC, and NFHS. Registration is now open. Visit echampionship.tabroom.com for more info. Please save the date and plan to join us this spring!

Read the Competition Rules Minutes

The Competition Rules Board met November 8 and we invite you to read the meeting minutes. Highlights include:

Clarification regarding chair use in Storytelling that 1) Once the performance begins, all legs of the chair must remain stationary on the ground and do not move from their original position, and 2) Competitors must not kneel or stand on the chair.

Auto-qualification has been expanded to the top 16 entries in World Schools Debate and Big Questions beginning at the 2023 National Tournament.

Two More Springboard Events Available in 2022
|
You still have time to register your students for tonight's Springboard Scrimmage! We have one round, starting at 6:00 p.m. CT with asynchronous speech and live debate. Rising stars and open divisions of all speech and debate events are available. Registration closes at noon CT today, November 22, on Tabroom.com.

Coming up Saturday, December 3 is the Springboard Capstone Tournament. This free opportunity goes beyond the one round and offers a full-day scrimmage starting at 9:00 a.m. CT! Registration is open now on Tabroom.com. Not only are these great opportunities for your students to practice their event and receive real judge feedback, but they can earn NSDA points if they are members!
