FUM Stoking the Fire, May 22-24 |
Friends United Meeting invites BYM Friends to a Pentecost Sunday weekend retreat, Stoking the Fire, at First Friends in Richmond, IN. Often, we focus so much on crossing items off our to-do lists that we are not able to simply be. How do we shift perspective, so we are able to move joyously between accountability and grace, knowing we are holy and beloved?

| Friends Journal Features BYM Publications |
The April issue of Friends Journal included reviews of two publications related to BYM’s Indigenous Affairs Committee. Quick Facts About Indigenous Americans (2025) is the product of the Committee's data project, compiled by Alexis Contreras (Confederated Tribes of Grand Rounde) and edited by Susannah Rose (co-clerk of BYMIAC). Respect & Justice for Indigenous Peoples: Becoming Allies, 1940-2025 (Patricia Powers) is the second volume of the history of the BYM Indigenous Affairs Committee. The first volume of the history (1795-1940) entitled As They Were Led: Quakerly Steps and Missteps Toward Native Justice, 1795-1940 (2021) is also available.

FGC The Gathering Ride Share Message Board |
Going to the FGC Gathering in Vermont this summer? Need a ride or got an extra seatbelt in your car? Connect with other BYM Friends headed to The Gathering. Together we can make sure those who don't drive have a ride - and those who do drive can reduce their carbon footprint by carpooling with a Friend or two.
