| In October, we acknowledged several heritage and diversity events, including Global Diversity Awareness Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Italian-American Heritage Month, Filipino-American Heritage Month, Yom Kippur, and so many others.

Dwarfism Awareness Month
October 25 is International Dwarfism Awareness Day and National Dwarfism Awareness Month raises positive awareness on dwarfism, aims to dispel myths and misconceptions, and offers opportunities for people with dwarfism.

Taste of Africa!
Join the African Student Association on October 25 for a fall semester fan-favorite event: Taste of Africa!, buffet-style dinner with cuisines catered by local African restaurants. Register here for the event.

CIC Coffee and Conversations
On October 26, join the Campus Inclusion Center to Coffee and Conversations to engage on topics of diversity, equity and inclusion. Come chat with other faculty, staff, administrators and students. Coffee and light snacks provided.

SHU Meditates
On October 26, faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to help relieve stress and anxiety with a brief guided meditation session led by an experienced instructor. Sessions are held virtually in Teams. Learn more here.

Pray for Justice and Healing and Peace
The University Chapel is open 24/7, as are the other sacred spaces across our three campuses, including the Meditation Room in the University Center. Come in and pray for the world and join us for worship.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary. Prayed in many languages, in many nations, by people of every race, the recitation of the Rosary unites Roman Catholics all across the world, as they honor the mother of Jesus and reflect on the mysteries of her Son’s life.

SOMA Cross-Cultural Works has once again partnered with Seton Hall to host the 6th annual Diwali Fest NJ, a unique multicultural celebration of Diwali (Festival of Lights) and South Asian arts and culture for the whole community. This event takes place in the Amphitheater of Maplewood Memorial Park (across from the train station) on October 28 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
