Common Agency Certification Issues
Employers are required to complete an Agency Certification (Form 11B) whenever a TRSL-covered employee retires or enters DROP. Sometimes employers are unsure about what specific information needs to be included when completing this online form. TRSL has added a Common Agency Certification Issues section in Index 11 to assist employers with some of the most common issues that include: - Difference between the date of termination and the retirement date. Agencies should always include the date of termination on the Agency Certification form.
- Tips on which Fiscal Year actual earnings and full-time earnings data is needed for the “Retiring After DROP” section (when applicable) for members who have submitted a DROP-Out retirement application.
- Information on how to review the member’s current year earnings to ensure all final earnings and contributions have been reported to TRSL before completing the Agency Certification.
TRSL encourages all reporting agencies to use Index 11 when employees apply for retirement. Check it out today on our website!
