Preliminary election results
On Nov. 4, voters headed to the polls to decide a range of local issues and elect representatives to various offices. The City had two issues on the ballot: Proposition 5, the Police Services Levy, and Charter Amendment No. 13, creating voting districts.
Prop. 5 passed, funding more officers and resources to strengthen public safety. Charter Amendment No. 13 did not pass, meaning City Council members will continue to be elected citywide. Both measures reflected community-driven ideas, and we remain committed to transparency in carrying out the will of voters.

Main Street Promise construction takes a holiday pause
Main Street construction is taking a break during this holiday season. Major work will pause between Thanksgiving and New Years Day. We’ve already completed all water and wastewater utility work underground between 5th and 15th Streets. Minor work, like installation of sidewalk furniture and street lighting will continue to keep the project on schedule. The corridor will be fully open for visitors to shop, dine and explore. Visit Main Street and see the upgrades to our finished blocks so far. Support our local businesses that make downtown shine this holiday season.
