• Congratulations to NYU Shanghai’s XCPC Club, who had an exceptional Fall 2025 season, earning three golds and two bronzes across several major ICPC regional programming contests from Harbin to Chengdu. Competing against top teams from Peking University, Tsinghua University, SJTU, and Fudan University, the students delivered top-level performances. Their results mark one of the club’s best semesters and strengthen NYU Shanghai’s growing presence in national competitive programming.

• On December 1, NYU Shanghai hosted the
Workshop on Sovereign Debt and Development Finance, organized by Assistant Professor of Political Science
Qian Jing, with co-organization support from the
NYU Sovereign Debt Network, the Princeton Sovereign Finance Lab, and the PKU Analytics Lab for Global Risk Politics. Chancellor
Tong Shijun delivered welcome remarks to open the event, which convened leading scholars and practitioners from institutions including NYU, Peking University, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the New Development Bank, Cornell University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Keio University, among others. The day featured a policy-focused roundtable, a research panel highlighting emerging scholarship in sovereign finance, and a session with editors from
International Organization,
Political Analysis, and Palgrave Macmillan.
