CONGRATULATIONS, EAGLES!
We’ve made it to the last week of the spring semester! Whether you’re finishing finals or gearing up for summer, it’s a moment worth celebrating. For the Class of 2025 about to fly the nest, commencement ceremonies begin at 4 p.m. Thursday and continue through Sunday night. Here are a few final reminders:
- The Grad Block Party will begin at 5 p.m. Friday on the Union South Lawn and on Highland Street. The entire UNT community is invited to the celebration, which honors graduates from the current academic year. Graduates should bring their tassels and UNT ID to receive a free graduation gift. Also, those who received their official UNT class ring from Jostens this spring can take part in the Eagle Ring Dive at the fountains at 7:35 p.m. (the Ring Ceremony last Friday had to move inside due to the weather). If it rains, the Grad Block Party will move inside the University Union.
- Highland Street between Avenues A and C will close at 2 p.m. Friday for event setup and safety.
- Expect heavy traffic on campus all weekend, especially on the west side near the UNT Coliseum. Enter from the north side of campus, via Avenue C or Welch Street, for easier access.
- College of Music ceremonies will be hosted in the Murchison Performing Arts Center. All other ceremonies will take place in the UNT Coliseum. Both venues enforce the clear bag policy and will use pass-through metal detectors.
Visit commencement.unt.edu to view the full schedule, access livestream links and help your guests plan their visit.
