The holidays are here and there are so many opportunities to visit and support local businesses. Desert Nights Downtown Lights, powered by the City of Tucson and Pima County, sets the stage for a joyful holiday season.

Downtown is the place to be for the holidays with over five weeks of festivities, 60 illuminated buildings, 139 trees tightly wrapped with LED lights, dozens of decorated storefronts, and hundreds of events, programs and specials.

What's that shimmering in the nighttime desert sky? Yep, that's downtown. The Building Illumination Program is as a unified initiative to illuminate Downtown Tucson's skyline for the holidays and attract people from all over the region to dine, shop, play and stay downtown. The result is a striking silhouette of the downtown skyline visible from Interstate 10, the Catalina Foothills and beyond. When you get here, the street illumination takes it to the next level with over 130 downtown trees adorned from trunk to canopy in thousands of warm white LED lights, sponsored by the City of Tucson and Pima County.

Downtown Tucson is truly the place to be this holiday season with many festive activities and shows. Thanks to the City of Tucson and Rio Nuevo, Tucson Holiday Ice on Church Avenue is back at a new downtown location in front of the Tucson Convention Center Ticket Office. Tucson's outdoor ice rink will be open throughout the holiday season until January 9, 2022. Downtown entertainment venues like the Fox, Hotel Congress, Rialto, Temple of Music and Art, Tucson Music Hall, and Leo Rich Theatre will be host to spectacular and festive performances - buy your tickets today!
