Research Renaissance

In university life, perhaps the only thing that could rival the importance of teaching is scholarly activity. Investigating complex ideas and discovering new knowledge is often the most exciting work across campus. At The University of Tulsa, research has long been a core component of faculty work. “Every great city has a great university that drives the economy, feeds the culture, and raises the bar for education. TU is that engine for Tulsa,” said President Brad R. Carson. 

Gilmans & Global Grads

Biological science senior Linnea Krautter, Jeff Luong (BS ’23), and Sian Tuang (BS ’23) were recently honored by TU’s Center for Global Engagement for receiving highly competitive Gilman Scholarships, allowing them to study abroad while earning their degree. The ceremony also honored those who received the Global Graduate Impact Award: Mahdy Alnejadah, Caroline Cox, Emma Daharsh, Tyler Tran, Cassie Vestal, and Iyan Smith Williams.

Meet George Justice

Provost George Justice is wrapping up his first year at TU. One of the nation’s leading thinkers on issues facing universities and a long-time columnist for The Chronicle for Higher Education, much of his work now focuses on the opportunities for collaboration between faculty and administration; coordinating academic programs; and examining the curriculum and research across the institution to ensure it effectively promotes the future of higher education.
