Walk & Ride Challenge: Yes...It's Happening!
You asked for it and we finally have an answer: the
Walk & Ride Challenge is happening...but it will be a little different this year.
How so? We will not be giving participants t-shirts or pedometers unless a pedometer is requested. We will ask that you use one from a previous year, or your own step tracker. We know it's a bummer, but our priority is your safety.
The good news is that since we aren't doing t-shirts and pedometers, we have lowered the price to just $10 per team!
If you're reading this and wondering what I am talking about, read on...
The
Walk & Ride Challenge is an event to see how Bethesda-based employees (including remote workers) can incorporate walking into their daily routines by considering alternative commute modes other than driving alone. Participants form teams with their colleagues and compete against other teams in Bethesda by logging their steps into the Walk & Ride website.
Registration will be opening soon and more details about 2020's Challenge Rules are still being worked out. We will let you know when it's time to register.
I almost forgot...the dates you can track your steps! Participants will be able to track their steps on workdays falling between October 5th and October 23rd, 2020.
