Dear Colleague,
Each year, we look forward to celebrating graduating seniors and sending them into the world with blessings from the Multifaith Baccalaureate Ceremony. Although that cannot happen in the usual way this year, a group of Emory seniors, chaplains, faculty, and staff are collaborating to create a Multifaith Baccalaureate for the Class of 2020 as a video production that will be broadcast through Emory communications channels on Friday, May 8, 2020.
Baccalaureate is an Emory Commencement tradition that formally celebrates the academic and personal journeys of the graduating senior class and sends the class into the world with music, prayers, inspiring reflections, and blessings.
We are seeking to create a Baccalaureate video production that truly celebrates the Emory Class of 2020, and we would very much like to have your participation.
Here is how you can help:
Words of Congratulations
- Please submit a brief, 10-second video message or 20-word written message of congratulations to the senior class. These do not need to be professionally produced--an informal message from home on your laptop or cell is great.
Methods to Upload Messages:
- Emory Box: Please upload all video messages to an Emory Box folder and share that folder with zcole3@emory.edu. To confirm that we received your video message upload, or to submit a written message, please email: religiouslife@emory.edu.
- Record with us on Zoom: If you want to avoid having to upload or send any files, record a message with us directly via zoom. To set-up a time to record a brief message with OSRL staff via Zoom meeting, please email: religiouslife@emory.edu.
- Other: To discuss other content submission methods, or with any questions, please email religiouslife@emory.edu.
Due to our production timeline, all submissions are due by Friday, April 17 by 5:00 p.m. (EDT).
Thank you so much for your consideration and participation. We will follow up with more information regarding the unveiling of the final video. To learn more about how seniors are participating in Baccalaureate this year, please visit http://emory.edu/baccalaureate.
With best wishes,
The Emory University Office of Spiritual and Religious Life
