Should You Take Online Courses Next Semester?

As we begin to wrap up this semester, it’s time to start thinking about your course load for Spring 2022. There will be in-person classes next semester, of course, but also many online courses, as well. Online courses are a great option for those who need a more flexible schedule; however, they aren’t the best option for all students.
If you are taking a 3-credit online course, expect to dedicate at least 9 hours to that class every week. Some students underestimate the time required to succeed in an online course for the mere reason it is held online. Remember –just because a class is online does not mean that it is easier than a face-to-face class. Make sure you know the required weekly commitment to an online class before you set your class schedule!
Are you unsure about whether an online course is a good fit for you? Take the Online Readiness Questionnaire to see if you are ready for online learning!
