RO-A Return to Production and Field Retrofit

Overview
We appreciate your patience during the past weeks while the RO-A unit was unavailable.  Our technical teams have resolved a quality issue and updated RO-A products are available for order again with first shipments by the end of October.  These compact water treatment units provide reverse osmosis to small isothermal systems and can integrate directly with the RS Series controller.
Certain RO-A units in the field will require a retrofit to ensure continued long-term performance of the product.  Please see information below regarding the product issue and retrofit procedure.

E61 – Pump Pressure Error
During commissioning, some systems would experience a system error: E61 - pump pressure. This error message is triggered when the pressure switch (Figure 1 – item no.100) measures a pressure level above the set high limit.

Solution
Upon review of the issue, it was determined that the over-pressure setpoint tolerance of the Pressure Switch (item 100 in the exploded view above) was incorrectly interfering with the operation of the system in allowable conditions. Condair has worked with the supplier to adjust the set point for the pressure switch to ensure that the E61 error will not occur within its specified operating conditions.
Implementation Plan
Our Condair manufacturing facility in Germany has resumed production of the RO-A with the new pressure switch.
Condair Ottawa will receive new pressure switches in mid-October and will re-work stock. The reworked stock will be able to ship out by the end of October. RO-A is released with a 6-week lead time, this will be reduced once stock is reworked.
RO-A units in the field do not need to be reworked if they are operating without issue. If any RO-A unit (in the field from June 2021- September 2022) is experiencing the E61 error, the new pressure switch can be ordered, PN 050045, to replace the existing one under warranty.
