Preregistration for Fall Classes

Spring fever may be in the air, but it's time for students to think ahead to fall! Preregistration begins on the third Monday of Block 7 (April 11), and it will close on first Friday of Block 8 (April 29). During this time, all current CC students will select and bid points toward their top-choice courses for Fall ’22, and they will draft their Spring ’23 schedules. They can work with their “Hub advisors” to get the process started, before finalizing their plans with their faculty advisors. Visit the registrar's site to learn more about the process and discover some tips for success.

Commencement 2022

We’re looking forward to celebrating with the 2022 graduates and their parents, families, and guests on Sunday, May 22, at 8:30 a.m. in Ed Robson Arena.

Information will continue to be shared via email with graduates and their families, so please keep a close eye on that inbox. If you missed the "50 Days Out: Commencement and Baccalaureate Speakers Announced" email with important news about speakers, venue, tickets, additional weekend events, and more, you can access that message online. The Commencement 2022 web page is also a great source for all the most up-to-date information. We can't wait to see you on campus soon!
Reminders for Your Seniors:
Please remind your graduating students to submit their application to graduate by the April 20 deadline. Students who are eligible will find the link to the application on their student menu in Banner SSB. It takes them only a few minutes to complete this application, which allows them to opt into the ceremony (plus provide their height information for a gown), and confirm their diploma name and mailing address should they end up not attending the ceremony.
Graduating students are also invited to attend Grad Fair on April 27-28, where they can take care of all outstanding business with offices from across campus, ask questions, update their contact information, record their name for Commencement, and more. Details about Grad Fair will be shared with students through many avenues including direct emails,  the daily digest, and digital signage on campus.

The Arts At CC

CC is excited to announce that the former Honnen Ice Arena building will be renovated to become a new home for 3D Arts and Integrative Design & Architecture classes, activities, and offices, and will include spaces and offices for Creativity & Innovation. The renovation project is expected to start after Block 8 and be completed in the fall.
A permanent space was needed for 3D Arts classes, which were displaced when Ed Robson Arena was constructed. This academic year, these classes and spaces for their student projects have been accommodated at multiple locations including the Honnen building and other sites on the east side of campus. Classes and art activities will continue in most of those spaces until the renovation is complete.
In March the CC Board of Trustees approved changing the Campus Master Plan to keep the former Honnen Ice Arena building rather than raze it as originally planned. A group of students, faculty, and staff studied space requirements, and a renovation-project committee of faculty and staff will continue to oversee the remodeling of the building.
KVA Architects designed the renovated space, which will include classrooms, specialized equipment, art studio spaces, makerspace, flexible creative spaces, a conference room, and offices. The outer shell of Honnen Ice Arena will remain, with some modifications.
The location of the space as a center for art and creativity endeavors helps to create an arts corridor with nearby Packard Hall, Cornerstone Arts Center, the Fine Arts Center, and Arts and Crafts in Worner Campus Center. The new space will be available to the broader campus community. The renovated building is intended to foster collaboration across the curriculum and co-curricular activities.
We will continue to share updates so you can follow the progress as the space takes shape!
