West Georgia Nonprofit Network Hosts Annual Networking Event
The West Georgia Nonprofit Network hosted its annual networking event this spring, with nonprofit leaders from throughout the state of Georgia gathering to learn about board development, fundraising, and insurance needs while also enjoying time to network with other leaders from the sector. The nonprofit network is generously sponsored by the Alice Huffard Richards Fund and UWG Newnan Foundation.
UWG College of Education's Early Learning Center recently announced a partnership with Community Action for Improvement LLC Head Start, a move that could impact more than 300 area families.
UWG hosted the inaugural Economic Outlook: Newnan in May, with business, government and community leaders from Coweta County gathering to discuss the local economy and what to expect in the next year.
A new study shows UWG contributed more than $626.7 million to the local, regional, and state economy between July 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021. This represents an increase of nearly $400,000 over the previous year, as the university continues to make a significant economic impact in its communities of service and beyond.
