Welcome Back to Campus! 
ISSS is excited by the arrival and return of new and continuing international students! We are looking forward to the upcoming semester and are here to support you and keep you informed. In addition to this weekly Friday newsletter, be sure to check your email and open all emails from international@MiamiOH.edu
The  international@MiamiOH.edu email address is also the best way to connect with ISSS or ask any questions you may have. You can also connect with ISSS by scheduling an in-person or online appointment.
Drop-in ISSS advising (in-person or online) is also available at the International Student Center (MacMillan Hall, room 017) Monday through Thursday from 1:30 to 3:00pm throughout spring semester. 
See the International Student Center (ISC) website for when Campus Care, English Language Learner Writing Center consulting, and other campus programs and events are happening in this space. You are also welcome to study or take a study break in the International Student Center (MacMillan Hall 017). Currently, snacks and drinks, generously donated by international students from the Class of 2021, are available to students. Stop by the ISC Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

January 24 - Start of Spring Term (first day of classes) 
January 26 - Spring 2022 Registration/Change of Schedule via BannerWeb (ends 11:59 p.m.)
February 28 - Last Day to Apply for August Graduation
March 21-27 - Spring Break (no classes)
April 6 - Fall 2022 Registration begins 
April 18 - Last Day to Withdraw from University and Last Day to file U.S. taxes
May 14 - End of Spring Term 
May 14-15 - Commencement Weekend
Final Semester of Study Info Session

For those international students preparing to graduate or complete their program this spring, ISSS staff will present information and answer questions about the final semester of study in the U.S., including:
  • Program completion vs. graduation
  • I-20 program end date updates and program extension issues
  • Options after completing a program
    • Leaving the U.S.
    • Transferring SEVIS record (grad school)
    • Optional Practical Training work authorization
    • Change of Status

Submit Spring 2022 Study Plan Confirmation 
By January 24, all international students (all campuses and levels) are required to submit an InterLink e-form to indicate their Spring study plan so ISSS can accurately report on our students' visa status as well as guide students through university processes.
Please complete the following steps after you have confirmed your Spring 2022 study plans:
1. Login to InterLink using your Miami Unique ID and password
2. After logging in, review the menu on the left side of the page and select “Spring 2022”—“Spring 2022 Study Plan Confirmation" 
3. Complete the form with your information for the spring semester. Please be sure to read all instructions carefully when submitting the form. 
If you have questions about the form or change your plans after submitting the form, please email international@miamioh.edu for guidance.
