April 18 - Unhoused in Eugene
Speaker - Dana Merryday - City Councilor, Cottage Grove
Dana has ventured much farther than collecting data and taking pictures and will bring us his unique perspective on the plight of the unhoused.
He's a Rotarian in the Cottage Grove Club, and he's very involved in Scouts.
He has made it a priority to learn more about the plight of the unhoused in our area. Because of his research, he'll bring a unique perspective to the program he'll share with us this Thursday. Don't miss it!

Satellite Service Network Update
Our Service Network has been focusing on membership. We invited 8 guests to our last meeting, and also inducted new member Kayla Mauldin. Kayla has been visiting us for 6 months, and even started a co-fundraising project with the Eugene Emeralds for the July 6th game (see separate SpinOff article to learn more and buy tickets.) Kayla, Wendy, and Helen all attended the Club Learning Assembly in Cottage Grove last Saturday, where they each focused on their interests.
For next Tuesday's meeting on April 23rd, we are inviting Rotarians from Eugene, Springfield, and Cottage Grove. Join us at 5:30 at Drop Bear Brewery (27th & Willamette - formerly Turtles) and make some new friends!

Let's Rally Together for a Great Cause!
Southtowne Rotary Service Network has partnered with the Eugene Emeralds. We are selling tickets to the Saturday, July 6th game for Marvel's Defenders of the Diamond Night! The game starts at 5:00 at PK Park.
This is a great way to have a night of fun, watching baseball and sharing time with fellow Rotarians, and raise funds for a great cause!
Proceeds will benefit Southtowne's Hosea Youth Services Projects. Hosea is a non-profit dedicated to breaking the cycle of trauma, despair, and homelessness for at-risk and homeless youth aged 16-24 in Lane County.
