Dear Volunteers,
We have several exciting opportunities for you to join special training events this spring! Whether you enjoy working with youth or the general public, I hope that these events will spark your curiosity.
Conservatory of Flowers: Youth Visit Volunteer Training
Thursday, March 23 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Conservatory of Flowers Orchid Pavillion
Help the Conservatory of Flowers host more young visitors on field trips this Spring & Summer! This brief training will prepare volunteers to greet and connect with youth groups visiting the Conservatory. This includes giving orientations for group entries and leading activities to connect young people with tropical plants during their visit. This optional training is open to all Garden Guides: we’ll cover things that will be new to you whether you're a seasoned Conservatory Jungle Guide or have only previously volunteered at the Botanical Garden. Interested? Sign Up Here.
All Three Gardens: Refresher for Interpretive Volunteers
Three-part series: April 18, April 25 and May 2
Join us as we gather volunteers & staff from all three gardens to share updates on how we are connecting volunteering opportunities within the Gardens of Golden Gate Park and answer your questions related to interpretive programs across the gardens. We hope you'll join us for this 3-meeting series if you lead tours, host interpretive stations, rove at the Conservatory of Flowers and Botanical Garden, or lead City Guide tours at the Japanese Tea Garden. We're excited to convene this wonderful community of volunteers together! RSVP Here.
In addition to registering for these upcoming training sessions, please consider joining us for upcoming enrichments and events - and of course to volunteer! Please find more information and links below.
