LLS Campus Parking Rate Update
LLS parking rates have been fixed for the past eight years, while the cost of security, cleaning, repairs and other maintenance have consistently increased annually. Prior to the last increase in 2014, rates had been fixed for well over a decade. In conjunction with the annual budgeting process, parking rates were evaluated in light of these rising costs and inflation, and were compared to parking fees charged at other universities, other downtown Los Angeles locations, as well as at the LMU Westchester campus.
The result of this evaluation has resulted in the need for a rate increase. To soften the financial impact on our employees, the rate increase will be staggered over two fiscal years. The new rates effective Sept. 1, 2022 are as follows:
- Monthly rate of $64/month for faculty and staff, which is a $6/month increase.
- Daily rate, including weekends, is $4.00 per 1/2 hour and $12.00 per day, which is a $3/day increase.
- Student parking rates, paid by semester, have been similarly increased
- The monthly rate will increase to $70/month as of August 1, 2023.
Employees currently enrolled in monthly parking do not need to take any action. Those who wish to make changes to their current WageWorks parking payroll elections prior to the rate increase must do so no later than August 10.
