A warm and sincere thank you is extended to all who continue to provide frontline financial services to societies during the difficult lockdown. Vaccines and treatments for covid-19 are already in trial phase so we hope for breakthroughs soon.
We have listened to our members’ voices in your responses to our recent survey during the pandemic and we’ve developed an advocacy plan for an ATM and Cash Revival which you can read about below.
Many of our events have been postponed to 2021 for health reasons but we are stepping up our industry webinars and developing some new virtual events for you. Stay tuned!
Take care and stay strong – we will beat this pandemic. However hard it pushes back against us, humanity will prevail. Thanks again for being champions providing access to cash and valuable services on the frontlines of the struggle.

Cardtronics Collaborates with Pin4 to Launch a First-Of-Its-Kind Mobile Cash Service in the UK
Cardtronics, the world’s largest ATM operator today announced its ATMs would be the first in the U.K. to allow individuals to withdraw cash using a new cardless cash service from fintech solutions provider Pin4. The Pin4Cash service will enable organizations to send cash to individuals in real-time using an SMS text message. This unique and innovative solution allows people to complete card-free cash withdrawals at the majority of Cardtronics’ CashZone ATMs around the country using only their mobile device, without requiring a payment card.

CaixaBank deploys ATMs with facial-recognition technology
CaixaBank ATMs throughout Spain are being equipped with facial-recognition technology that can validate up to 16,000 points on the user's face, guaranteeing a totally secure identification, according to a report in Atalayar. This is the first system implemented in the world by a financial institution that can capture a user's image through the terminal's internal camera, authenticating the user and permitting a withdrawal without requiring the user to manually enter a pin number.
