Final Thought…
By the time you read this, it’s likely you’ve already made your choice in this year’s General Election. I say choice, not in reference to any particular candidate, but if you chose to vote or not. It is also likely a high percentage of voters opted to sit this one out. It happened in this year’s primary election on August 13. According to the State of Hawai‘i Office of Elections, there were 853,874 registered voters in Hawai‘i for the Primary Election but only 340,159 residents voted or 39.8% A majority of them, 330,837 residents voted by mail.
From 2000 to 2016, Hawai‘i had the lowest voter turnout in the General Election in the entire country. In 2020, Texas took that title away by .2%. It’s not too late to keep us out of the cellar and exercise your right.
And don’t forget, No Vote No Grumble!
