From the Dean: Terrorism hits home

It is impossible to comprehend that the Owen community would be struck by terrorism twice in single month. Alums Justin and Stephanie Shults (both MAcc'09) and MBA student Taylor Force were tragically killed in March terrorist attacks in Brussels and Israel, respectively. The deaths have left Owen in mourning, but the outpouring of support from our community and friends has been overwhelming. A memorial was held at Vanderbilt to honor Taylor Force (pictured above). Vanderbilt is creating the Taylor Force Memorial Scholarship to support graduates of U.S. military academies attending Owen. Likewise, contributions can be made to the MAcc Scholarship Fund in memory of Justin and Stephanie Shults. Gifts can be made online or sent to: Vanderbilt Gift Processing Office, PMB 407727, 2301 Vanderbilt Place, Nashville, TN 37240-7727, attn.: Taylor Force Memorial Scholarship or MAcc Scholarship Fund.
I thank you deeply for your thoughts and prayers for our community during these trying times. The attacks will not change our committment to training leaders that can operate on the global stage. Together, our community will emerge stronger than ever.
