Last week’s Research & Creative Works Symposium was fantastic! Thank you to the students I spoke with during the poster session for teaching me so much about their work done in conjunction with faculty. More than 250 students—mentored by 52 faculty and staff—led panels, presented posters, gave performances, and set up exhibitions. If you missed any of the action, check out the recap video. The gallery exhibition of student art was a not-to-be-missed moment and gave my office inspiration to start featuring student work for visitors.
Southwestern’s Board of Trustees members met on campus last week, and like the 500 people before them, they also enjoyed the Sweet Surprise. On Thursday, the Board approved exciting new capital projects for campus that I will share with everyone tomorrow.
