Development Disabilities Day at the Legislature
On Wednesday, February 21, self-advocates, DSPs, leadership, and board members representing The Arc Montgomery County were among the 700 people attending DD Day at the Legislature. The annual event is always popular and the strong presence of so many made an impression, driving home the ongoing need for funding and support for people with disabilities. Thank you to all who attended and made their voices heard!

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM)

All month long we recognize people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This year's theme is "A World of Opportunities." Help raise awareness and celebrate the accomplishments of people with IDD by wearing orange, the official color of DDAM, and post a picture on social media and use #DDAM2024 – and don’t forget to tag The Arc Montgomery County.
