New Resource for Monthly Meetings on Tax and Business Issues
|
The General Secretary and BYM Office have noted an increase in questions from Monthly Meetings and Treasurers about tax and business issues. In response, we have developed a new resource for Meetings. The memo covers the tax-status of Meetings that do not have an IRS Determination Letter, incorporation as a business, state-level tax exemptions, and EINs. If your Meeting is having difficulty receiving Donor Advised Funds or using certain financial products like Venmo, this memo is for you. For further assistance, contact GenSec@bym-rsf.org, and we can put you in touch with other Meetings who are working through these issues.
