The Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic (LSJLC) will host an Open House on March 29 from 12-1 p.m. on the second floor of Founders Hall to provide prospective applicants an opportunity to meet clinical faculty and staff, as well as students who have participated in the programs. Students are encouraged to take the opportunity to also view the LSJLC space. Those who visit at least two clinics earn a hot dog by Pink's, owned by alumnus Richard Pink, in return! Dean Michael Waterstone hosts the first Dean's Den of the Spring 2022 Semester with guest Professor Allan Ides '79, Christopher N. May Chair, professor of civil procedure and constitutional law, former U.S Supreme Court clerk -- and an LLS alumnus! Join us today, March 28, 2022, at 12 p.m. in the Hall of the 80s (moved inside because of rain). The Dean's Den aims to give current and prospective students the opportunity to get to know a faculty member personally through their career, research, and teaching philosophies. | Experiential Learning Fair Offers Insights on Fall Options
Students have the opportunity this week to learn about LLS' 20+ clinics, field placements and practica at the Experiential Learning Fair (also known as ELF) to be held virtually through April 1. The clinics will host an Open House on March 29 to provide interested students an opportunity to meet clinical faculty and staff, check out the Loyola Social Justice Law Clinic space and nosh on free treats. In addition to learning more about the programs themselves, both of these events will offer details on program admissions processes (enrollment for many is by application only, due April 4). Understanding Genocide in the Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Join the Center for the Study of Law and Genocide on Monday, April 4, from 12 to 1 p.m. for an examination of the important factual, legal, and humanitarian issues at the heart of this conflict. Cesar Chavez Tribute To Feature Speakers, Performance
A Cesar Chavez Day tribute will be held from 5-6 p.m. on April 6. Professors Kathleen Kim and Jonathan Harris will provide introductions. Student Mariela de Loera will discuss her advocacy on behalf of immigrant workers along with Vivian Martinez, a Public Interest Scholar. This will be followed by a performance of the musical play "Cancion del Inmigrantes," which will be performed by One Grain of Sand Puppet Theater with the band Cunao. More>>

| LLS Professors To Perform 'Advice and Consent'
Join the LA public Library as they host Loyola Law professors, Yxta Maya Murray and Kathleen Kim. Professor Murray will read from her play Advice & Consent accompanied by Professor Kim on violin. The two discuss the inspiration for their play and musical score on the 2018 Christine Blasey Ford hearings for the Supreme Court regarding Brett Kavanaugh. On April 20, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the Rights in Systems Enforced (RISE) Clinic will hosting a symposium in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), a week led by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments in the victims’ rights movement as well as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of helping crime survivors find justice.
