Spring at St. Luke’s opened in a mighty splash
Despite the surprise of an early morning spring rain (to be honest, it was a dilly of a downpour), the St. Luke’s United Methodist Women’s group is still celebrating an amazing turnout for the annual Rummage Sale.
“We have been blessed with generous support and donations, not only from our church family but also from our surrounding neighbors,” said long-time member, Karen Brown. “This event made $8,000 and we are so very grateful to be able to donate the profits to missions and charities, both nationally and internationally.”
Many leftover items such as furniture, and everything from “soup to nuts” were donated to The Salvation Army, The Christian Sharing Center, AmVets, and Breast Cancer. All the effort was certainly a ‘pay it forward’ event and we are even more grateful to our amazing volunteers who made the event possible.
We invite you to come visit the gift shop, Blessed Treasures, located in the old Shepherd’s Hope house. We think you will enjoy exploring all the spring arrangements and gifts at very reasonable prices. All proceeds earned in the gift shop are donated to charity.
