The Fall 2026 Tuition Remission application opens on July 6, 2026. Tuition Remission pays a percentage of tuition costs for GW benefits-eligible employees and their eligible dependents. The exact rate of coverage depends on a number of factors, including: employee status, employee hire date, whether the student is an employee or dependent, and the specific academic program being pursued.
If you, or your eligible dependent(s) are planning to use the Tuition Remission Benefit for the Fall 2026 semester, please review the Tuition Remission Policy and submit your online Tuition Remission application no later than October 1, 2026*.
As a reminder, you must submit one application per person and a new application must be submitted each semester. You are also required to register for your courses first and, if applicable have your tax exemption certification documentation prepared before applying for the Tuition Remission Benefit.
