Georgia Ensemble Theatre has moved into the Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs! We are delighted to expand the reach of Georgia Ensemble Theatre into the Sandy Springs area, bringing more GET performances back to North Fulton County and concentrating our operations into a single location. Our performances, classes, and administrative operations will all have their home base at the Act3 Playhouse in Sandy Springs Plaza. We're so grateful for our friends at Act3 Productions who facilitated this move and made us feel welcome. At the very bottom of this email are details about the new building and photos of what you can expect. We think you're going to love it - and yes, the parking is still FREE!

We are not changing our company’s mission or values – just compacting it into a smaller space while we continue to rebuild from long-term pandemic losses. Thank you for sticking with us as we've navigated stormy seas over the last four years. Our leadership is changing, but you can expect us to continue offering great quality shows with high production values and some of Atlanta's most talented professional artists. We're also bringing in some truly exciting guest artists from out of town - Don Farrell, who you know from many GET shows in the past, and James Morrison, who you know from the television show 24.

|
If you're one of the 50-or-so people who reached out and asked us to hold onto your subscription from 2023-24, we've already transferred you into a Flex Pass for this season. You don't need to do anything extra to activate that. You'll get a separate email from the box office next week.

Meet the Interim Artistic Director |
|
|
Anita Farley, Laurel Farley Crowe, & Bob Farley at the 2017 Suzi Bass Awards ceremony.
|
|
It's now been about six months since Anita Farley retired from her position as Producing Artistic Director of GET. (Did you miss the chance to send her a congratulatory message? Click here to write yours!) We'd like to introduce you to a woman many of you already know, who is now serving as our Interim Artistic Director.
|
Laurel Crowe was the very first student in the GET Conservatory back in 1992! After receiving a degree in Speech & Theatre Arts from The University of West Georgia, she became a House Manager at GET performances and a teaching artist in our Conservatory, then joined the staff as Education Associate. She worked her way up to Education Director in 2011. When Anita Farley announced her retirement in May of 2024, the Board of Trustees invited Laurel to serve as Interim Artistic Director. The interim period is expected to last at least one year.
|
In planning the 2024-25 season, Laurel is working to blend our long-time patrons (like you!) with the new neighbors we're meeting in Sandy Springs. The shows and classes we present this season offer a "choose your own adventure" experience! We have options for families & kids, adventurous adults, and traditional music lovers. Laurel and the staff of GET want to welcome you into a beautiful space and make sure that YOU feel at home here just as much as we do.

Ticketing & Flex Pass Subscriptions |
Tickets for the 2024-25 season are ON SALE NOW. Below you can read about the titles and tap the button to order your tickets! Subscription passes are on sale now, too; all subscriptions this year are Flex Passes.
Ticketing is simplified in this smaller space - no more sections with different pricing structures. Instead, every performance will have general admission seating. With 99 seats and plenty of leg room on each row, every seat is a good one - plus the entire front row is accessible for wheelchairs & mobility challenges. We still have discounts for seniors and students/educators! And now, every preview performance is a Pay What You Want ticket (minimum of $4). Regular ticket prices will range between $15 and $45, depending on the type of show.
|
What's a Flex Pass? Get the discount now and choose your dates and shows later. With 6 vouchers included, GET Flex Passes may be used in any combination: see each play once, see two plays with a group of friends, come back and see the same show twice. The choice is yours! Flex Passes, at $138, include 6 vouchers for you to use as you like. If you use them up, it's easy to purchase another one later in the year. They're good for ANY of the shows listed below! (An upcharge applies for the special VIP Opening Night of Leave Your Fears Here.)

This transitional season is full of options as we get to know our new neighbors and invite our long-time patrons to a new neighborhood. We hope you’ll find something to your liking! (Behind the scenes, we’ve also got our planning hats on for the 25/26 season, the 26/27 season, and beyond!) Here are the productions of our 32nd Season:

Five neighborhood friends use their interests in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to solve mysteries and problems in their own back yards. Growing up means growing apart when the group heads to middle school, but when one of their own is targeted by a bully at the science fair, the team gets back together for one more mystery. This play is also a GET Travel Team performance - on tour to schools around the state during the fall semester.
Directed by Laurel Crowe.

One actor plays Scrooge. One actor plays EVERYONE ELSE. This two-person performance by Destination Theatre is full of improv, music, and audience interaction. A Christmas Carol meets Whose Line Is It Anyway? in a fast-paced Christmess extravaganza. Amid the hilarity, you'll still feel all the heart and hope of Dickens' classic redemption tale. You loved Destination Theatre's visit in 2023, and we're excited to welcome them back in 2024!

Tickets for this extra-special production will be available beginning November 15. In this intensely personal one-man play, actor James Morrison (who you probably know from TV's 24, Those Who Kill, or Space: Above and Beyond) recounts his beloved son's struggle and recovery from brain cancer. It is a tale of losing a language and learning a new one, of a child teaching the parent, and the power of hope in the darkest of times. James takes you on a journey that affirms love and human connection as the antidote to fear and despair. On Opening Night, every ticketholder will be welcome to a post-show reception and chat with James Morrison!
Directed by Robert Egan.

| GET favorite Don Farrell brings us his famed tribute shows exploring the lives & music of Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond. The two shows alternate nights so you can choose one or both.
All the Way: Not an impersonation, but an appreciation! You’ll be tapping your toes to choice arrangements while stories of Ol’ Blue Eyes are interspersed throughout.
Sweet Caroline: Celebrate the story of Neil Diamond’s rise from humble roots in working-class Brooklyn to global success.
Created by Don Farrell & Terry White.

You never know who you'll meet walking through the summertime woods. If one or two of them happen to be powerfully magical, and one or two of them happen to be in love with someone unexpected, and they bump into a group of amateur actors trying to rehearse a tragedy, well...it might all make for a hilarious, enchanted adventure. The whole family will find something charming in this funny, abbreviated version.
Directed by Mary Saville.

The Act3 Playhouse location offers several exciting features for our audiences! There is plenty of parking, always free. It’s on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, a mile north of I-285, or only about 2 miles from GA-400. (That’s a 19-minute ride from downtown Roswell, and even easier to reach for our many patrons who live in East Cobb or Dunwoody/Sandy Springs.) The 99-seat theatre has great sightlines, comfortable leg room, a nearly-new lighting & sound package, and amazing air conditioning. Within walking distance are a dozen tempting restaurants and bakeries, not to mention fun shops and the green space of City Springs Lawn.
The Act3 Playhouse location is at 6285-R Roswell Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, on the back of the Sandy Springs Plaza shopping center behind Henri’s Bakery, Five Guys Burgers, and Trader Joe’s. When you arrive at the Plaza, head down the driveway that runs right beside Five Guys, then look to your right for the Playhouse building. All parking spots are open and free.
Our phone number, website, and email addresses remain the same, as does our mailing address of PO Box 607, Roswell, GA 30077.
