Hi Neighbor!
Â
It is hard for me to believe I have been living in my new home for over a week.
Â
Which means just over seven days ago, my weary head was sleeping in another house a mere mile away.
Â
At one point, I thought it would NEVER happen as I frantically packed boxes, hundreds of boxes, containing close to twenty years of accumulated âstuff.â It was a mad dash to the finish line, but I got it done.
Â
So, yes, I have moved out and moved on. And yes, I made what felt like a thousand trips between the two houses gathering every forgotten shovel, broom, pillow, and lightbulb that did not make it on to the moving truck. Nothing was getting left behind on my watch!
Â
Amid the anticipation, aggravation, and anxiety leading up to and following the move, I learned a thing or two, not only about myself, but about the process. Letâs face it, moving is daunting, and several times over the course of the last two months, I have had plenty of friends tell me moving is one of the top five most stressful life events we may deal with.
Â
I lived to tell, and now I would like to share with you what I learned...

Supplements to Relieve Stress & Anxiety
-By Michael Briggs
Â
As the Holiday Season approaches, it will undoubtedly increase our stress load beyond our current levels. With the Covid-19 pandemic, many of us have already felt this increase which has manifested as anxiety, decreased mental sharpness & energy, sleep issues, to name a few. Targeted nutritional supplements offer a potential solution to getting us out of fight or flight mode and positively influencing our immune system.
Â
Adaptogens are a class of herbal compounds that have proven to be beneficial for stress & anxiety. They have a unique dual action to adjust to your bodyâs presentation of the stress response. If you are too keyed up, there is a grounding effect, or if you are experiencing fatigue, there is an energy & mood uplifting action. Some common examples include Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Eleuthero, Holy Basil, & Panax Ginseng.
Â
Studies have shown that adaptogens improve cognition and stress resilience, support optimal immune function, sleep cycle, and optimize energy and stamina levels. As with any herbal product, it is important to discuss product selection with a knowledgeable pharmacist or other healthcare professional as there can be medication interactions, side effects, or other nutrient depletions to consider.
Â
Michael Briggs, PharmD, CNC, ICCT serves as COO of Lionville Natural Pharmacy and has been published in The Professional Guide to Complementary & Alternative Therapies, Complementary and Alternative Medicine for Older Adults. The Nursing Drug Handbook Series, and Pharmacotherapy. Learn more at lionrx.com.

From its very first performance in Dublin in 1742, Messiah was a huge sensation. For more than three decades, VoxAmaDeus has presented to the Philadelphia region annual performances of Handelâs masterpiece, now a Christmas season tradition. Remaining true to Handelâs vision, this is the complete work performed on original Baroque instruments. But Maestro Radu makes a few changes each time, so no two performances are ever quite the same.
Â
This will be the 2022 edition! This year, make Messiah part of your Advent/Christmas traditionâand come and be uplifted!
