The Office of Space Planning and Utilization is charged with the implementation of effective strategies to guarantee the efficient and optimal utilization of the university’s spaces, including buildings and property. To better serve the campus and establish a clear process for addressing these needs, we have created a space request form. This form necessitates approval from deans of colleges and vice chancellors of units. The information contained in the form will help identify and ensure all facets of the request are effectively managed.
Upon submitting the form, the Office of Space Planning and Utilization will evaluate and provide recommendations on proposals for space reclassification, allocation or reallocation of space, modification, or renovation after space assignments or classifications are recreated or updated. All requests, accompanied by supporting documentation, will be submitted to Raaj Kurapati, EVC, COO and CFO, for final approval. When appropriate, the Chancellor's Cabinet may need to weigh in for approval.
