Tourism and Climate Action Watch Party, Oct. 12
Climate change has the potential to significantly impact travel and tourism in the coming years, but our sector also has a tremendous opportunity to be a catalyst for change, and to do so it is imperative that we work closely together. Travel Oregon, along with
Tourism Declares, The Travel Foundation, and the
Oregon Coast Visitors Association invite you to co-host a Tourism and Climate Action watch party with your networks, board of directors, key stakeholders and/or tourism leaders in your region or community on October 12 from 4-5:30 p.m.
You do not need to be an expert, or committed to a climate action plan to engage in this conversation. During the watch party, a keynote presentation will be given by Jeremy Sampson, CEO of the Travel Foundation, Chair of the
Future of Tourism Coalition and Chair of the Destinations Working Group for Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency.
To host a watch party, all you need to do is:
- Let us know if you’d like to co-host a watch party.
- Choose a location with streaming capabilities.
- Invite your party.
- We’ll do the rest (like provide Zoom link details, facilitated questions, and next steps).
