Twelve Finalists Named as Finalists for Three Minute Thesis Competition 

Georgia Tech is proud to announce twelve finalists for the 2025 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, which will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025. These outstanding graduate students have advanced through a highly competitive preliminary round, showcasing their ability to convey complex research into compelling, concise oral presentations.

Grad Students Encouraged to Attend 2025 Institute Strategic Plan Student Conference 

Don’t miss this annual event connecting students to Georgia Tech’s Institute Strategic Plan and showcasing the incredible work happening across campus. Hear from keynote speaker Jen Abrahms, a GT alumna and Guidehouse consultant, and enjoy a fireside chat with GTSC Student Assistants sharing their experiences. Hosted by Ava Healy, the event features interactive breakout sessions and opening remarks from Harrison Baro. Plus, free lunch will be provided! Funding Opportunities: National Endowment for the Humanities: Deadline April 9 

NEH Fellowships are competitive awards granted to individual scholars pursuing projects that embody exceptional research, rigorous analysis, and clear writing. Applications must clearly articulate a project’s value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. NEH invites research applications from scholars in all disciplines, and it encourages submissions from independent scholars and junior scholars.

NSF Strengthening American Infrastructure: Deadline: April 17

This NSF solicitation offers support for research projects that will bring together experts from one or more of the social, behavioral and economic (SBE) science disciplines with experts across other scientific and engineering disciplines to support substantial and potentially pathbreaking and use-inspired fundamental research that will help to strengthen American infrastructure. Proposals must bring deep leadership expertise in at least one SBE program area, and provide details on how such SBE disciplinary expertise and leadership will contribute to strengthening American infrastructure. Proposals must also bring relevant expertise in the focal infrastructure itself.

Wellness Opportunities: Take Back the Night 

Take Back the Night is a long-standing tradition at Georgia Tech and beyond, where survivors of sexual and relationship harm speak out by sharing personal experiences and holding a candlelight vigil to honor all victims and survivors. Those who would like to anonymously submit their stories can fill out this form before by March 30. The event is open to the entire Georgia Tech community and includes a resource fair and call to action with a short march through campus. This year’s annual Take Back the Night event is Monday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the grove adjacent to the Divine Nine Plaza.

Expanded Support for Graduate Student Families

Georgia Tech is expanding its support for grad students through a new child care tuition assistance program, students can apply for additional aid at The Children's Campus @ Georgia Tech, which already offers a 10% tuition discount for students and employees.

Grad Night - Tech vs. Mercer

Grad Students are urged to pack out Russ Chandler Stadium for Grad Night and cheer for Tech against Mercer. The first 50 students to arrive will receive concessions vouchers. Get ready for door prizes and interactive activities between innings.
