2025-26 FRESSH Cohort Call for Applications
The FRESSH (Fostering Research Expansion in the Social Sciences & Humanities) Program is designed to help scholars in the arts, social sciences, and humanities in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences apply for and obtain external funding for their research. The program consists of workshops during the academic year during which scholars work with invited guests and each other to develop a proposal suitable for submitting to an external funding agency such as the NEH, ACLS, NSF, or a
foundation or residential fellowship program outside the University of Kansas.
Applications are due to fressh@ku.edu by 5 p.m. on August 12, 2025

American Council of Learned Societies
ACLS is seeking Peer Reviewers, published scholars with PhDs (or the equivalent) in academic positions (or academy-adjacent positions such as museums, archives, libraries, etc.) who have a broad view of the humanities and interpretive social sciences and a critical eye for exceptional research. Retired scholars are also welcome.

Harvard Radcliffe Fellowship 2026-2027
Harvard Radcliffe Institute is now accepting Fellowship Program applications for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Applications in humanities, social sciences, and creative arts are due by September 11, 2025, and applications in science, engineering, and mathematics are due by September 30, 2025.
