Expanded study spaces now available
Additional spaces are now available to support your study needs during Reading and Exam Days! We're also extending access hours at many existing study spaces. Visit the Library's website to see the full list. This page will be updated as locations, hours, and other details change; please check back often for the latest information.

Last CSS Saturdays: Study with a Tutor on May 3
Study with both community and academic support at CSS Saturdays: Study with a Tutor. Whether you're tackling chemistry, physics, calculus, or need general study help, Learning Den tutors and study consultants are there for you. Come by the Center for Student Success on May 3 between 12 to 4 p.m. and enjoy some snacks and pizza while you work. 

Pedestrian walkway closure near Hopkins Student Center construction site
As part of the ongoing construction at the Hopkins Student Center, a pedestrian walkway located just south of The Beach and east of the construction site will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, April 28, through early August. Detour signage will be in place to guide pedestrians safely around the area. Visit the Facilities and Real Estate website for more information on this and other construction updates.

Congratulations to this year's summer research grant awardees
The Summer PURA (Provost’s Undergraduate Research Award) program will support more than 100 Hopkins undergraduates this summer, thanks to additional university investment. PURA empowers students to pursue original research and creative projects in close collaboration with Hopkins mentors. Get ready, Blue Jays — the Hopkins Student Center officially opens this August, and that means that space reservations are about to open for the fall 2025 semester! Whether you're producing a podcast, planning an event, or hosting a performance, there will be a reservable space that meets your needs.

Prior to its official opening later this summer, the HSC will follow a phased scheduling approach to ensure fair access and intentional use of space. Beginning on May 1, spaces can be reserved for signature events and theater rehearsals and performances. Then, on May 15, reservations open for registered student organizations to secure spaces for their events (not including reoccurring and weekly meetings). 

You can view the full priority booking schedule and the instructions for how to submit your reservation on the HSC website. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee availability; you’ll receive an email confirmation once your reservation is reviewed and approved.
