Study your dictionary and come to the theatre, because Spelling Bee is here for just one more weekend! This hilarious musical romp through middle school has delighted both audiences and critics in its first two weekends. Read more about this very funny show and make plans to join us.

TICKET AVAILABILITY UPDATE: Plenty of tickets are still available for this weekend's evening performances (Thursday 2/11, Friday 2/12, and Saturday 2/13). There are just a few scattered single seats remaining for the Sunday 2/14 matinee.

Annie Get Your Gun cast announced

We send applause and thanks to everyone who turned out for our February 7 & 8 auditions for Annie Get Your Gun. We wish we could have used all of you in the production! See who will be part of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show!

Directed by Tony Rust, Annie Get Your Gun will run April 8 - May 1.

Rhythm & Blues coming February 18-21

As soon as we close The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, we turn over our stage to some talented local musicians for the 15th Annual Metropolitan Rhythm & Blues Revue. This high-energy show is a fund-raiser for the Cottage Grove High School Music Department and boasts a wide variety of entertainment including singing, dancing, and a whole lot of great music. The R&B Revue is a combined effort of local adult musicians and student performers, including the CGHS Jazz Band and Shades of Jazz choir. All seating is reserved and advance purchase is recommended.

15th Annual Metropolitan Rhythm & Blues Revue

February 18, 19, and 20 at 7:00 pm

February 21 at 2:30 pm

$15 Adult, $10 Student

All proceeds benefit the Cottage Grove High School Music Department.

Seeking Play Submissions for our 2017 Season

Interested in directing a play in 2017?

Cottage Theatre is now accepting play submissions for our 2017 season. We choose our season each year based upon submissions from prospective directors.

The deadline for submission is Wednesday, March 16.

Set in Naples, Scapino! is a zany modern day farce inspired by Moliere’s 1671 comedy Les Fourberies de Scapin. The play’s lead, Scapino, is a quick-thinker, fast talker, and trickster.This play is a fun-filled, outrageous ride, full of slapstick and fast-paced humor; including tall tales, bad impersonations, ridiculous chase scenes, disgruntled waiters, loveable panhandlers, melodic macaroni, and misbehaving sausages. Roles are available for 10 men and 4 women.
