Recent Progress
The Application Design & Tools team completed an internal pilot to deploy the VDI ordering portal to the cloud and is working toward a general release of the application. The team also identified Online Giving as the next application to be piloted.
The Integration team completed ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) demos with several vendors and has selected the ETL tool from Talend. The team is working with the vendor on the implementation plan and will be training on the tool this month while working to identify first projects.
After evaluation of several cloud virtualization strategies, the Architecture, Infrastructure, & Migration team has selected VMware’s vCloud Air platform and will begin a pilot to migrate non-production environments of the DAR applications including the ATLAS suite to the cloud.
We will keep you posted on latest developments as we move forward.
