We look forward to welcoming you to the Festival this week!

To protect the health and safety of festival participants and our local community, we’ve instituted the following policies; please read carefully.

We are committed to ensuring that HIFF29 is safe as well as spectacular.

All festival attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination status.* Staff will be tested daily, in partnership with Health Rover.

PASS HOLDERS (Patrons, Founders, Filmmakers, Industry): You must submit your proof of vaccination and photo before picking up your pass. Those who cannot show proof of vaccination will not receive their pass.

TICKET HOLDERS: You must show proof of vaccination before entry. Please arrive early to each screening. Remember to print your tickets at home, or present your tickets on your phone to be scanned.

*Acceptable proof of vaccination includes a completed vaccination card and photo ID, New York State’s free Excelsior Pass, or NYC COVID Safe App (Android | iOS).

Masks covering the nose and mouth are required inside all HIFF venues (including Registration), and no food or drinks will be allowed. For the safety of all, guests unable to wear proper face coverings will be asked to leave.

Indoor venue capacities will be reduced to ensure social distancing, and turnover times between screenings will allow for sanitizing surfaces. Hand sanitizer will be provided at all HIFF venues by Clean Republic.

The most important things to remember:

Arrive early.
Bring your vaccination card or digital pass.
Print your tickets, or have them on your phone.
Wear your mask.
