Two Weeks Until Distinguished Speaker Series Premiere

We are only two weeks away from the premiere of the Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS)! The 2023 DSS will feature subject-based experts speaking on various aspects of the Texas Child Welfare System. Each episode will have stories, accomplishments and perspectives of four esteemed judges as they discuss those directly impacted by their leadership. Registration is just $25, gaining access to all four episodes, which will release each Wednesday in September 2023 at 11 a.m. CT.

Upcoming Art of Facilitation for Pre-Service Training Workshop

Texas CASA will be offering a virtual Art of Facilitation for Pre-Service Training workshop beginning September 12, 2023. This training is designed to introduce participants to the foundations of engaging and learning-centered facilitation, exploring creative and effective ideas for pre-service content and to build relationships across the CASA training community.

Cohort A: September 12, 14 and 19 (10 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.) 

Cohort B: September 12, 14 and 21 (10 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.)

New Star Health Information for Program Staff & Advocates

All program staff and advocates are invited to join us for an engaging session with Jorge Gonzales, Executive Director of Star Health, and Anthony Ortega, Training Manager at Superior Health. This session will cover the Star Health Basic Benefits, including recent structural changes such as the new implementations to the 3-day exam and evaluation process. Join us as we learn how CASA can effectively champion medical care and services covered by Star Health.
