  -  Modular Software Stack - basic research in computer science and applied mathematics that addresses practical and fundamental bottlenecks that hinder modularity and potential synergy among selected hardware technologies; pursues general approaches to integration that may remain relevant for future technologies; devises ways to embed quantum processors in parallel and distributed computing models; and integrates error management across the software stack.
  -  Quantum Utility - aims to advance the research towards achievement and demonstration of quantum utility by developing new algorithms and fine-tuning all levels of the software stack for a selected portfolio of promising problems within the ASCR mission.

Synopsis: Supports projects in basic computer science and applied mathematics research in the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for science. Specifically seeks research in areas that will advance the development of (1) Foundation models for computational science; (2) Automated scientific workflows and labs; (3) Scientific programming and scientific-knowledge management systems; (4) Federated and privacy-preserving training for foundation and other AI models for science; and (5) Energy-efficient AI algorithms and hardware science.
The development of new AI techniques applicable to multiple scientific domains can accelerate progress, increase transparency, and open new areas of exploration across the scientific enterprise.
Award details: Awards for each institution will range from $350K to $100K per year for a 3-year project period. A multi-institutional team, whether applied for as a prime applicant with subawards or as collaborative applications, is limited to a request of no more than $2.350M per year.

(1) Exceptional Project Grants – Supports creative, unique and innovative research by clinicians, research scientists, including post docs and is open to applicants at institutions in the contiguous United States.

College Art Association (CAA)
Program: Millard Meiss Publication Fund
Synopsis
: Supports book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy. All periods and areas of art history and visual studies will be considered. Applications that propose enhancing the visual component of the study through the inclusion of color plates or an expanded component of black-and-white illustrations are of particular interest to the fund. As awards are made to the publisher — not the author — commercial, university, and museum presses are all eligible to apply but must be institutional CAA members. University presses can apply under the CAA membership of their university.
Award details: Application budgets should be as specific as possible; substantial production costs will be borne by the publisher.

International Literacy Association
Program: Dina Feitelson Research Award 
Synopsis
: Supports and recognizes an outstanding empirical study, published in English in a refereed journal, that reports on an investigation of aspects of literacy acquisition such as phonemic awareness, the alphabetic principle, bilingualism, home influences on literacy development, or cross-cultural studies of beginning reading. The results should have clear implications for instruction.

Center for the Study of Federalism
Program: Research Grants; Dissertation Grants
Synopsi
s: Supports original research and / or writing that advances thinking about federalism as a principle of American government, law, or politics.  Areas of focus may include but are not limited to: political philosophy and theory, political history and development, public policy, law (including constitutional law), political institutions, political behavior, and political culture. Research should focus solely on U.S. federalism but consideration will be given to comparative research in which U.S. federalism is a significant component and from which can be drawn a better understanding of U.S. federalism. Applicants are expected to have earned a doctoral degree and to have a record of published research. CSF seeks to support the work of scholars who will further the study of American federalism. Scholars and faculty members from colleges, universities, and independent research institutions are welcome to apply.
Award details: Research Grants: $15K; Dissertation Grants: $7.5K. Both grants may be used to cover the cost of travel for research purposes, research materials (including relevant software), fieldwork, and other pertinent expenses. The grant may cover expenses related to attending conferences and publishing CSF-supported research. Applicants for dissertation grants should include letters of recommendation from two faculty members, one of whom must be the applicant’s dissertation chair.

Program: Grants-in-Aid of Research Program (GIAR)
Synopsis
: Supports undergraduate and graduate students with valuable educational experiences. By encouraging close working relationships between students and mentors, the program promotes scientific excellence and achievement through hands-on learning. Encourages applications from underrepresented populations including people of color and women.
Award details: XI members - range from $500 to $5K for graduate applicants and $500 to $2K for undergraduate applicants; non-XI members: both graduate and undergraduate, are available up to $1K. Synopsis:
Supports that advance the understanding and treatment of Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) and related blood disorders (such as MDS / myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) overlap syndromes, secondary acute myeloid leukemia following MDS, idiopathic cytopenia of undetermined significance (ICUS), or clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP). The fund facilitates the advancement of innovative basic science, translational or clinical research on 2 tracks:
  -  Early Career Awards: The Investigator has completed their doctoral degree within the past 10 years and who has not yet secured independent funding in the form of an NIH R01 or equivalent Instructor or equivalent positions will not be considered as part of the terminal degree.
  -  Established Investigator Awards:  Eligible investigators who don’t qualify as Early Career investigators, or applicants who have previously received an Early Career Award from the Foundation. 2 Early Career awards and 1 Established Investigator awards are made annually.
Award details: Early Career: Up to $125K per year for 2 years. Established Investigator: Up to $250K per year for 2 years. Indirects cannot exceed 15% of direct costs.

Synopsis: Supports research and program evaluation projects specific to the intervention and prevention of intentional, interpersonal firearm violence and mass shootings in the United States. This solicitation has two categories: 1) research on mass shootings, including insider threat and leakage and the role of the news media and social media platforms; and 2) research on the effectiveness of campaigns implemented in school systems and/or through school personnel to encourage the parents, guardians, and relatives of school-aged children to store firearms safely and securely.

As part of broader BRFSS data collection, the program focuses on advancing health equity among underrepresented groups. Through the use of a standardized telephone questionnaire under the BRFSS surveillance system, data is collected specifically for use for public health purposes by the state health department, U.S. territories, or freely associated states, and the CDC. The objective is to monitor health risk behaviors at various administrative levels.

This program element is cross-divisional and jointly managed by four of the Divisions within NASA’s Science Mission Directorate: Astrophysics, Planetary Science, Heliophysics, and Earth Science. Proposed investigations that combine multiple scientific disciplines or cross traditional Divisional science boundaries, in particular by including topics or analysis techniques from the Heliophysics and/or Earth Science disciplines, are highly encouraged. . Proposed investigations should involve the collection and analysis of new data, analysis of archival data, collection and interpretation of laboratory data, and/or development of an observationally testable prediction or theory. Proposals must also clearly describe how results will facilitate the interpretation of data from NASA space missions and/or lead to predictions that can be tested with NASA space mission observations.

Program: Precision Measurement Grant Program (PMGP)

Synopsis: Supports advances in fundamental measurement, and the determination of fundamental constants, and fosters extramural collaboration with NIST scientists. The PMGP also is intended to make it possible for researchers to pursue new ideas for which other sources of support may be difficult to find. There is some latitude in research topics that will be considered under the PMGP. Reviewers will evaluate the extent to which the proposed research supports one of the following current efforts at NIST
  -  Developing a new or improved fundamental measurement method or physical standard.
  -  Testing the basic laws of physics; or

The objectives of this program are to attract outstanding faculty members of U.S. universities to the Department of the Navy's Science and Technology (S&T) research program, to support their research, and to encourage their teaching and research careers. The GSS is a personal interview survey that collects data on a wide range of topics: behavioral items such as group membership and voting; personal psychological evaluations, including measures of happiness, misanthropy, and life satisfaction; attitudinal questions on such public issues as abortion, crime and punishment, race relations, gender roles, and spending priorities; and demographic characteristics of respondents and their parents. If a project is being undertaken by researchers at multiple organizations, then a single organization must be identified as the lead organization. A single proposal describing the entire project must be submitted by the organization with funds distributed among partner organizations via subawards from the lead organization. Direct submission of linked collaborative sets of proposals by multiple organizations is not permitted
