ICANotes Updates for March 5, 2020

Practice Management Updates

Patient Accounts

A small update has been made to the Patient Aging, Insurance Aging, and Combined Aging reports in Patient Accounts. Previously, clicking the "eyeball" icon (present in Detail view) would navigate to the related service detail or patient account. This button has been replaced in the aging reports by an informational popover with directions on how to update account data for patients. The original icon is still present in other detail reports and will continue to provide fast navigation to related services and patient accounts.

Demographics

In the Insurance Info tab of Demographics, "U" (for "Unknown") has been added as an option for the insured party's gender, as this is an acceptable value per the latest version of the CMS 5010 billing guide.

Batch Statements

Improvements were made to batch patient selection functionality within Batch Statements in Patient Accounts. When using the 'Show All Selected' option to display only the selected patients, the Patient Selection buttons on the left will dynamically change to give you only 'deselect' options. For example, you can 'Select Self Pay' to check only those patients, then 'Show All Selected' to display only those selections, at which point some buttons will be temporarily hidden and those pertaining to the selection will remain.

March Webinars

Our Events Calendar has been updated with fresh webinar offerings for the month of March. Can't make a webinar but would still like the benefit of having attended? No problem! All webinars are recorded and emailed to registrants within 24-48 hours following the event.

Clinical Updates

Nursing Note

A button to access the Injection Log has been added to the Nursing Note. When clicked, the user is taken to the Injection Log screen where a new entry can be made. The 'Back' button returns the user to the note work areas and appends the injections entered for that note into the Medical History field.

Clinical Content

We have added Restraint/Seclusion content to the Past Psych History shrub in the Complete Evaluation.

The Suicide/Violence Risk Assessment shrub has likewise been updated to include new content, including Current Risk Factors > Perceived Burden to, Access to Lethal Means, and Protective Factors.

Forms/Assessments

We have updated the PCL-C to PCL-5 and revised the scale available in the Rating Scales shrub.
