Grand Rapids Girls Robotics Competition - Allendale Sept 13th, 8am - 5:30pm
An Event Agenda can be found online, but make sure you come early to see the “Ladies in Tech” Career Panel Discussion featuring local west Michigan female professionals at 8 am. The GRG is an off-season FIRST Robotics competition that features female-only robot driver/operator, human player, and pit crew. FIRST off-season events are free and family friendly. Statistics Career Day 2025 Allendale Nov 17th, 9am - 3:00pm
GVSU’s Department of Statistics, with the ASA Southwest Michigan Chapter and Career Services, will host the seventh Statistics Career Day on Monday, November 17, 2025, at GVSU Kirkhof Center. High school and college students can explore careers in statistics and data analytics through company exhibits, breakout sessions, and networking with professionals and alumni. The event features a keynote by ASA Executive Director Ronald Wasserstein and presentations from organizations like Meijer, GM, Biogen, and Henry Ford Health. From 2D to 3D Transform Your Science Assessments Grand Rapids Nov 11th, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Michigan Department of Education has challenged schools to change just 5% of an assessment to get a feel for what it takes to construct a 3 Dimensional assessment. MSTEP is now collecting baseline data for science as it officially rolls out as an operational test.
We can help you make the switch. Bring a team of teachers in your content (or on your own) and a current assessment/set of assessments to make a shift towards 3D. Formative and summative assessments are both welcome. Walk out of the work space with an assessment, or part of an assessment, to try in your classroom. All grades welcome!
