Job 12:13-15

13 “To God belong wisdom and power;
    counsel and understanding are his.
14 What he tears down cannot be rebuilt;
    those he imprisons cannot be released.
15 If he holds back the waters, there is drought;

Who decides what happens? Some attribute our lives to fate. After all he had lost, Job continued to affirm God's sovereign plan.

Spurgeon agreed, "I am glad that there is no such thing as chance, that nothing is left to itself, but that Christ everywhere has sway."

As Job would discover, God redeems everything he allows. Be encouraged. No matter what we are going through, God is redeeming us, now.

Pray with me:

Father, we are grateful that you are sovereign in our world. Today we choose to align ourselves with your plan as we trust your providence. In Jesus' name. Amen.
