Great Expectations

It's time to say goodbye, our joy-filled school year has come to an end.

We've made more cherished memories and many more new friends.

We've watched our Dragons learn and grow and change from day to day.

We hope that all the things we've taught have inspired them in exciting ways.

So it's with HAPPY MEMORIES we send them out the door,

With great HOPE and EXPECTATIONS for what next year holds in store!

Wishing all of our Dragons a fun and restful break. As you leave school to enjoy the summer, may you each go with a song and a smile in your heart.

Summer Assignments Now Posted

Whether you call it the Summer Slide or the Brain Drain, students can lose ground in reading and math over the summer break. To help our students practice what they learned this year, St. Michael's has posted summer assignments and recommended reading lists for grades 1-8 via the button below, along with Fall 2024 Back to School supply lists.

You may also find this information on our website under "Community/Summer-Back to School." Now that the school year is complete, our administrative team will be finalizing Back to School information. Please also check the aforementioned website link again in late July for important updates.

2024 Summer Assignments and Supply Lists

Back To School Supply Kits: Convenience, Cost-Savings, and Brand-Named Items!

The St. Michael's Parents' Association (SMPA) is excited to announce that families can now purchase K-8 Back to School Supply Kits that will be waiting for children on their desks at Lower School Meet Your Teacher Day and Middle School Orientation!

ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY JULY 1! Don't miss out!

PowerSchool Parent Portal: Back to School Forms

Student Back to School forms, health and athletic forms, and medical information will continue to be managed through the St. Michael's PowerSchool and Magnus Health secure databases for the upcoming school year.

All St. Michael's Health Forms and Back to School forms will go live for the '24-'25 school year on JUNE 13. Following the release of forms in the school database on June 13, you will be able to complete forms through the PowerSchool Parent Account that you have created. An email will go out to all St. Michael's families on Monday with detailed instructions for locating the necessary forms within your PowerSchool Parent Account.

We ask that you enter the health information required within your Magnus Health account for each child attending St M no later than AUGUST 1. There will also be additional Back to School forms due prior to orientation in August. Please contact Michael Jones, Director of Technology, with any questions.

NOTE: If your children in rising grades 4-8 are playing any sports at St M, a St. Michael's Athletic Participation Form needs to be completed by a family physician this summer.

NEW FAMILIES: You should have received an email this past week from the Admissions Office containing instructions and login instructions to our PowerSchool/Magnus Health Portal. Please contact Admissions Director Alison Roussy with any questions.

Summer Administrative Office Hours

St. Michael's will observe summer office hours starting the week of June 10.

Our Administrative Offices will be open Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. (Closed on Fridays)
Our Extended Programs Summer Camp team will be working Monday-Friday (June 20-August 4) during camp hours, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Support the Annual Fund!

Thank you to all who have made gifts to the Annual Fund this year!

St. Michael’s has long enjoyed the steadfast philanthropic support of its current parents, grandparents, alumni, past parents, and friends to meet the growing needs of the School beyond what tuition covers. Your participation is essential to the success of our programs and community.

Parenting Summer Reading Recommendations

Students are encouraged to complete their summer reading assignments, and, this year, Dr. Kim Hilton, St M’s Consulting Psychologist, has compiled a list of various reading selections for parents to consider in their own summer reading. We hope that you’ll find a book or podcast that offers you support in your parenting journey!
