The conference also includes opportunities to meet with the panelists 1:1 for virtual informational chats.

| Networking Best Practices for Careers in Democratic Engagement

Join UChicagoGRAD and the Chicago Center on Democracy for a skill-building networking workshop tailored to graduate students passionate about democracy and civic engagement. In this hourlong session, attendees will learn strategies for identifying contacts, conducting outreach, and maintaining connections, as well as honing speaking skills for one-on-one and group conversations. Students will come away with a tangible action plan for building a robust professional network, with particular emphasis on careers in policy, public administration, nonprofits, and related fields.

| The Boren Fellowship: Language and Public Service

Boren Fellowships provide up to $30,000 to U.S. graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. Both Masters and PhD students may apply. This workshop will cover each step in the Boren, and a recent winner will discuss her experiences.

PKU-UChicago Summer School Programs Fee Waivers
Apply by June 3
Through a unique collaboration between the Harris School of Public Policy and Peking University (PKU), we are offering up to 10 program fee waivers for UChicago students to enroll in one of the three PKU-UChicago Summer School Programs this summer. The scholarship fully covers the program fee, while participants will be responsible for their own international travel, visa fees (if needed; and we can coordinate with the visa application process), local lodging, and personal expenses. We will inform the applicants of the admissions decision before June 13th.
AEPP Registration is open!
Join us this summer for an Intensive English Program to help support your academic English! Incoming international graduate students should express interest via Slate or by contacting your Admissions / Dean of Students office, all others should submit a form on our website.
