The 2025 Career, Research, and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC), sponsored by the Graduate Student Government Association and the Office of Graduate Education will be on February 6, 2025. CRIDC is an annual professional development event that offers a poster competition, panel sessions led by industry leaders, and career networking opportunities. CRIDC is designed to equip graduate students of all degree types with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in the ever-changing job market. Registration for the Poster Competition opens soon. | Career Development Opportunity: 2024-25 Mentoring workshop series for graduate students and postdocs: Fostering Independence and Professional Development workshop
|
Graduate and Postdoctoral Education's mentoring workshop series for graduate students and postdocs is hosting a workshop on Fostering Independence and Professional Development. This takes place on December 12, 11:30 - 1:00 pm. This session will focus on fostering independence and supporting the professional development of mentees. Participants will discuss the progression of graduate students their research and academics, and how mentors can help support their professional skill development at each stage.Individuals who complete five workshops will receive a certificate of completion.

Funding Opportunities: Innovation in Building (IBUILD) Graduate Research Fellowship
|
The Innovation in Buildings (IBUILD) Graduate Research Fellowship, managed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory, aims to strengthen the pool of well-trained, diverse PhD scholars who are equipped for research-intensive building technologies careers in academia, industry, and the national labs.
Fellowships begin July-September, 2025. Application Closes on December 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time.

The Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE NNSA SSGF) is currently accepting applications through January 14, 2025. The DOE NNSA SSGF seeks and supports students pursuing a Ph.D. in areas of interest to stewardship science, such as materials under extreme conditions, nuclear science, or high energy density physics. Renewable for up to four years, the fellowship is open to U.S. citizens who plan full-time, uninterrupted study toward a doctoral degree at an accredited U.S. university.

Wellness Empowerment Center now offering Wellness Coaching
|
The wellness coaching program from the Wellness Empowerment Center (W.E. Center) is designed to help you deal with these stressors by assessing your health and wellness goals and providing an individualized action plan to help you achieve them. Through one-on-one sessions, students identify areas for growth, explore personal goals, and strengthen skills that promote resilience and well-being. Common topics in wellness coaching sessions include stress management, sleep hygiene, physical health, time management, and work-life balance.

Georgia Tech offers a variety of free mental health support services and resources that are designed to help students with issues both big and small.

- Peer Coaching - talk to a fellow Georgia Tech student who can listen and connect you with appropriate support
