Stay up-to-date on happenings throughout the Free Will Baptist denomination with this week's NAFWB News. Read below the exciting things going on in our national ministries.

It's Convention Time!

The 2026 National Convention kicks off in just over a week! Free Will Baptists will converge on Kansas City for the 89th meeting of the NAFWB.

Here's how you can participate:

Worship – Services for all ages being at 7:00 PM CDT nightly. Join thousands of others as we worship together. Services will be streamed live on Facebook and at nafwb.org.

Participate – Attend the business sessions (and vote if qualified) to stay "in the know" about what God is doing in and through the denomination. Observe events in the Vertical Three Conference to witness the youth of our denomination using their God-given talents and abilities.

Learn – Seminars will be presented by national departments and commissions throughout the week. Recordings of seminars are released weekly in the months following the convention through the Better Together Podcast.

Get Equipped – Over 90 booths in the exhibit hall (map here) will be manned by national departments and various other ministries to educate you and equip you with tools for ministry.

Fellowship – There is no greater time to fellowship with other FWBs than at the convention. Take the time to renew old friendships, form new ones, and encourage one another.

Pray – Spend time in prayer for the upcoming convention (30-Day Prayer Calendar).

Give – The convention is not possible without generous giving from individuals and churches. Plan to bring an offering to contribute during worship. If you are unable to attend, give online to fund the valuable online resources that make the convention available for view at home:

Kids Choir Info

The Kids Choir at the National Convention is available to all kids ages 4-12. Rehearsals are Monday-Wednesday at 3:00 PM. The Kids Choir will sing with the adult and student choir as part of the Wednesday night service, and right before the CTS Awards Ceremony. Pray for TX Flood Victims

We are praying for all those impacted by the devastating flooding in Texas. Pray for those who have lost loved ones as well as those involved in rescue and recovery efforts.
We have not been made aware of any FWB churches or families that were affected by the flooding, but response teams are prepared if needs arise.

Foundation Seeks New Director

The Board of Directors of the Free Will Baptist Foundation is pleased to officially announce the launch of our search for the Foundation’s next Executive Director. Qualified and interested candidates can express their interest by contacting our Board Chairman, Rev. Scott Coghill, at foundationchair@nafwb.org. Welch College Graduates 44

Welch College conferred degrees on 44 students in its May 9 Commencement ceremony, according to Provost Matthew McAffee. The college awarded degrees in multiple programs, including associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, the Master of Arts in Teaching degree, and the Master of Divinity degree.
