Hi All,
It has been another busy week in Dodge County. Tuesday evening, Cameron Pokorny and Lindsay Propst were recognized at the Dodge County Board of Supervisors meeting and received their 4-H Key Award! What a wonderful opportunity to recognize them as some of the Outstanding 2% of Key Award recipients in Wisconsin. I look forward to sharing their 4-H message with you in future newsletters.
As our county Covid numbers continue to rise, please take precautions in your 4-H clubs and projects. 4-H Youth Development programs are similar to school so I am sharing some highlights from the CDC for school children which include:
- CDC recommends universal indoor masking by all students (ages 2 years and older), staff, teachers, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status.
- In addition to universal indoor masking, CDC recommends schools maintain at least 3 feet of physical distance between students within classrooms to reduce transmission risk.
- Students, teachers, and staff should stay home when they have signs of any infectious illness and be referred to their healthcare provider for testing and care.
I would ask that everyone be safe and have grace as programs or participation may need to change, or be canceled as families are dealing with their Covid situations.
Please feel free to contact me with questions,
Marie Witzel Positive Youth Development Educator marie.witzel@wisc.edu 920.386.3790 (office) 920.210.3080 (cell)
